Vocalist and songwriter Dee Dee McNeil's new release is a straight jazz recording of mostly original songs. She also talks about her time as a writer with Motown Records, and about her time in the jazz/spoken group Watts Prophets, and how the issues they were writing about in the early 1970's are still relevant today.
