Circuit Judge Drazewski Retained

It's unusual for Circuit Judges to lose the job.

They don't have to run very often and unless voters choose not to retain them, they keep their seat on the bench.

But, a misconduct scandal raised the question for McLean County Circuit Judge Scott Drazewski. It didn't matter.

Drazewski handily won retention even though he had been disciplined over his conduct involving an affair with a colleague, his decision not to recuse himself from cases involving the colleague's husband, and his concealment from supervisors of the reason he eventually did remove himself from those cases.
