2 Men Hospitalized in Bloomington Shooting

Bloomington Police are investigating a shooting near East and Jefferson streets early Monday.

Bloomington Police are trying to determine who shot and wounded two men downtown early Monday.
Officers were called to the intersection of East and Jefferson streets at about 1:14 a.m., when they found two 19-year-old men who had been injured, according to a news release from the Bloomington Police Department. One of them reported a gunshot wound.

One of the victims told officers they were in a car driving, when someone from another vehicle approached and started shooting at them.

Bloomington Fire Department transported both victims to a local hospital, where their conditions are not available.

Police said they found an abandoned vehicle with the engine running and rear window broken near Monroe and McLean streets. Police also recovered several shell casings in that areas. Several callers told police they heard multiple gunshots.
