After eight years of dogged police work, Bloomington K9 officer Lex is retiring from the force.
Bloomington Police's Belgian Malinois police dog has been paired up with Officer Justin Shively. The 10-year-old Lex has collared numerous offenders and helped BPD seize more than $200,000 and many pounds of drugs from criminals. He's also helped out other local law enforcement agencies.
Lex plans to live out his golden years in Shively's home.
