Acousticity brings you bluegrass, singer/songwriter, Celtic and other roots musics. It's the whole spectrum of acoustic music from Cherish the Ladies to the Sons of the Never Wrong, from the Carter Family to the Milk Carton Kids. It's "flexible folk" and it's only on GLT.

Local folk group Stone & Snow stopped into the GLT Studio to perform their original tunes "Thief" and "Cease-Fire." Stone & Snow is made up of Karen Bridges (vocals and ukulele), Clint Thomson (vocals, guitar, mandolin and harmonica), Connor Brennan (vocals and keys) and Elia Zimmerman (vocals and violin).  Visit our YouTube channel for more in-studio performances.

June 2, 2013 Peter Rowan's "The Old School" features new songs in the classic bluegrass style, with help from Del McCoury and Stuart Duncan.

June 9, 2013 At 10:00 we'll feature "Woody Guthrie at 100," with classic songs performed at The Kennedy Center by Lucinda Williams, Jackson Browne and the Old Crow Medicine Show. Throughout the night we'll give away copies of the CD. 

June 16, 2013  A collection of artists pay tribute to the influential British singer/songwriter Nick Drake on "Way to Blue," produced by Drake's original manager, Joe Boyd.  

June 23, 2013 Twice honored as the IBMA's top female bluegrass singer, Claire Lynch offers up "Dear Sister," a new collection of songs she wrote with Sarah Siskind and Louisa Branscomb.

June 30, 2013 New releases from Celtic songstress Frances Black and Nashville writer Amy Speace feature lyrics by Sheryl Crow, the McGarrigle Sisters, and inspiration by William Shakespeare.
