Acousticity Features for August 2015

    

August 2, 2015 "For Everything" is the latest collection of original songs from ISU and GLT alumnus Kevin Mileski. Conversation and some in-studio performances from Kevin, including a trip back to the reverberant GLT stairwell.

August 9, 2015 It's new music from Colorado bluegrass quintet Finnders and Youngberg. Their latest, "Eat the Moon," includes a half dozen originals from former Illinoisian Mike Finders.

August 16, 2015  Bluegrass mixed with classic country is the formula on the latest from Lorraine Jordan and Carolina Road, with performances on "Country Grass" from Eddie Raven, Crystal Gayle and Jim Ed Brown. 

August 23, 2015 Two ebullient young bands mix classic folk and country with early jazz, blues and just plain fun. We feature the latest from the Bumper Jacksons ("Too Big World") and Dustbowl Revival ("With a Lampshade On").

August 30, 2015 New music from Champaign/Urbana-born fiddler and songwriter Andrea Zonn, and her continuing employer, James Taylor. She has a new release called"Rise"; his is "Before This World."
