WGLT is a community treasure, a unique institution that combines local and national resources to provide public service of enduring value. A planned gift to WGLT allows you to ensure quality public radio programming in your community for generations to come while meeting your own financial and personal objectives.
The most common way to make a planned gift to WGLT is by making a bequest to the station in your will or trust. This allows you to make a lasting contribution without affecting your current financial security and freedom. And, whether you wish to donate you entire estate, a portion of your estate, a fixed dollar amount, or a percentage of your assets, bequests are easy to make.
Estate assets may include cash, marketable securities, real estate, retirement account, life insurance and stock. An example of bequest language: “I give, devise and bequeath (________percentage, or the residue of my estate, or $________) to Illinois State University Foundation, its successors or assigns, an Illinois not-for-profit corporation, to further the objectives and purposes of WGLT at Illinois State University.
