5:30-6:30 PM: We're offering an informational slideshow detailing the complete itinerary with Collette expert travel guide Lora Carlson. It's held at the Hampton Inn & Suites, 320 S. Towanda, Normal and is free and open to all. Meet GLT travel host Linda Healy and fellow travelers and have all your questions answered. Invite your friends and family to come with you to the meeting, but please help us plan appropriate space for the meeting by registering below.
Escorted by professional Collette guides and GLT Events & Outreach Director Linda Healy, our latest trip settles in to the heart of lovely Tuscany for a 9-day journey to Montecatini Terme, Florence, Lucca, Gothic Line, Siena, Pisa, and San Gimignano. You'll experience rolling landscapes, savory food, classic architecture, and some of the most famous works of art in the world. You'll enjoy walking tours that immerse you in the charm of Italian towns, sample exquisite wines, and feast on traditional local dishes.
You'll spend 7 nights in the same hotel, so no need to pack and move from place to place. Daily excursions take you to historic monuments, majestic cathedrals, the UNESCO World Heritage site of Piazza dei Miracoli, a cheese tasting, and wine sampling.
Fall is a perfect time to visit Tuscany and this is a very reasonable price for the many amenities included. Price includes: Round trip ground transport between Bloomington, IL and Chicago; round trip airfare from O'Hare Intl Airport; air taxes and fees/surcharges; hotel transfers; 10 meals; and Collette professional travel guides. You also support GLT as you travel, with a small portion of proceeds benefiting this public radio station.
We are so pleased with the quality of Collette tours and excited to be working with them again. Local travel agent Suzi Davis will once again be handling bookings. We thank them for their excellent service! We are also thrilled to be partnering on this trip with Illinois State University's Alumni Relations. We hope to add a special visit with one or more alumni now living in Italy that will be unique to this tour. Check back for more details.
