The Blues are free and the corn is cheap!
When: August 23 & 24, 2014
Where: Uptown Normal, IL
Time: Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM. Sunday 11 AM to 4 PM (both days go until the corn runs out!)
Celebrate two of central Illinois's most beloved offerings at this say-goodbye-to-summer street festival: fresh yellow sweet corn and red hot blues. The corn is cheap, the live blues are smokin' and the festival itself is free! You can eat your freshly cooked corn on the spot, or take home dozens to cook at home. Browse the arts & craft vendor booths, enjoy a tasty corn dog, and find end-of-summer super bargains at the Uptown Normal merchants' sidewalk sales.
Leave the car at home and take the bikes. Good to Go and the Friends of the Constitution Trail are providing secure valet-style parking for bicycles. It's free, it's easy, it's good for the environment, it's healthy. You can also justify one more ear of that delicious fresh-cooked corn.
