Lineup:
5:00 pm - Marc Boon & Hip Pocket
6:30 pm - Hot Club of Cowtown
8:30 pm - Carolyn Wonderland
Headliner Carolyn Wonderland is going to amaze and move you. She's a powerhouse of soulfull blues, backed by an equally talented group of blues musicians.
Opening for Wonderland is Hot Club of Cowtown, a spunky hot jazz and western swing trio made up of fiddler and vocalist Elana James, guitarist and vocalist Whit Smith, and bassist Jake Erwin.
We like to start the evening with one of the area's best local bands. As Hip Pocket was rained out last year, we're taking another stab at it with a modified reunion performance of Marc Boon and many of the Hip Pocket gang. They're one of the communities strongest bands. They opened for The Fabulous Thunderbirds last fall and have played for a couple of presidential inauguration parties in D.C.
There's cold beer and wine in a walk-around beer/wine garden, festival food, snacks, and ice cream, and more than enough street space to set up your lawn chairs. The grass around the historic courthouse (housing the McLean County Museum of History) is ideal for spreading a blanket and kicking off your shoes.
Musicians will have CDs for sale under the GLT tent right next to the stage and we'll have GLT-shirts and other merchandise for sale.
Please note: it is a great privilege for us to offer you a walk-around beer/wine garden. NO outside alcohol or coolers will be allowed on the grounds. For consideration of all, please leave any non-service animals at home.
