Rain/Heat Policy: In the case of rain or excessive heat, the performance will be held in ISU's Center for Performing Arts Theater, but the forecast for Sunday, August 3rd is BEAUTIFUL!!
Advance ticket sales have ended for this event. There will be a VERY LIMITED number of tickets available for walk-up beginning Sunday at 5:00pm. They will include a meal and we will do everything we can to accommodate your preference for meat or veggie. First come, first served.
The Illinois Shakespeare Festival has a national reputation for excellence and innovation. Enjoy a picnic dinner from Destihl under the tall trees of Ewing Manor's front lawn. Your picnic includes a special pre-show performance written expressly for GLT Night and featuring the Festival's touring company of actors. Wrap up your meal with a luscious cup of ice cream from Carl's Ice Cream.
Your ticket includes the whole package with reserved seats in the outdoor theater. Feel free to bring a bottle of your favorite wine or toss a couple of beers into the cooler. Bring picnic blankets, lawn chairs, a bunch of your best buddies, and make an evening of it. Dress for the weather and be comfortable!
When you order your tickets, you'll be asked to choose a meat or veggie meal. Choices are:
Roasted Turkey and Tomato sandwich
sliced turkey, baby swiss cheese, roma tomatoes, roasted red pepper spread, ciabatta bread
Roasted Portabella sandwich-Veggie Option
roasted portabella mushrooms, arugula, grilled red onion, roasted red peppers, basil mayo, ciabatta bread
Both options will include house-made ancho chips, a side dish, and chocolate mousse with chocolate shavings.
