GLT's Radio Faces™ presents David Kestenbaum and Jacob Goldstein of NPR's Planet Money for our 2011 event.

Planet Money is a multimedia team covering the rapidly changing global economy in a fun and accessible way. The place for clear and innovative financial reporting, the team of six journalists helps listeners understand how dramatic economic change impacts their lives.

Planet Money launched as a Podcast on September 6, 2008, covering the global financial crisis of 2008–2009 during the Federal takeover of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. It was created after the success of "The Giant Pool of Money," an episode of This American Life.

In addition to blogs and podcasts, the Planet Money team also produces regular reports for Morning Edition and All Things Considered and occasional pieces for This American Life.

David Kestenbaum has been an NPR correspondent for a dozen years, covering science and energy issues before becoming part of Planet Money. Jacob Goldstein, the most recent addition to Planet Money, was hired as the program blogger. Their multi-media presentation will educate and entertain, with time afterward for audience questions.

Radio Faces™ is one of GLT's signature events. We've brought you Morning Edition host Steve Inskeep, Weekend Edition Sunday host Liane Hansen, White House correspondant Don Gonyea, veteran newscaster/Wait, Wait judge Carl Kasell, ATC co-host Melissa Block with ATC producer and GLT alum Brendan Banaszak, and Radiolab co-host and NPR Science Desk correspondent Robert Krulwich for memorable evenings over the last 6 years.

We would like to extend our gratitude to Country Financial for their continued sponsorship of Radio Faces™. Their support is essential to the success of this event's success.

Proceeds from this event benefit the GLT Equipment Fund.
