Illinois Wesleyan University will kick off a Year with the Historic St. John's Bible heritage edition with an interfaith blessing open to the public at 11 a.m. Thursday January 18th at the Evelyn Chapel, 1301 N. Park Street in Bloomington. The St. John's Bible is the first hand-painted, hand-written illuminated Bible in 500 years. There will be a public lecture at 6:30 p.m. January 18th given by Tim Ternes of St. John's University in Minnesota entitled "A Revolution in Illumination and Imagination: Introducing the St. John's Bible at the Westbrook Auditorium on Illinois Wesleyan's campus.
