Event Calendar Guidelines and Public Service Annoucement (PSA) Guidelines
All announcements must be submitted in writing. In order to avoid scheduling problems, GLT should receive information at least two weeks in advance of the event. You may submit information online, mail to PSA/ WGLT, 8910 Illinois State University, Normal, IL 61790-8910 or fax to the GLT PSA Director at (309) 438-7870.
Here's the basic information we need from you and your organization :
- Sponsor of the event
- Name of the event
- An explanation of the event
- Days and times the event is taking place
- Where the event is taking place
- Cost (if any)
- Contact person and public phone number for further information
Priority will be given to events in the GLT listening area that are of wide interest and/or of interest to our audience, free and open to the general public and that are activity based (in other words, there’s something for our listeners to do, like participate in a garden walk or see a concert). Submissions promoting a fundraiser without an associated event or an organization simply seeking monetary donations are unlikely to be used.
Public Service Announcements accepted from churches or other religious organizations must be activity based, non-denominational in nature and open to the public. Money raised from activities should benefit the central Illinois community or an area community organization.
All submissions will be reviewed and approved by GLT before appearing on this web site or being announced on air. GLT reserves the right to edit or reject any submissions. Please provide all the information requested. Submissions with missing information are less likely to be used.
