Support Your Public Radio Station
WGLT FM is a 25,000 watt listener supported public radio station licensed to Illinois State University. The GLT broadcast signal covers much of central Illinois, west to Peoria, north to Pontiac, east to Champaign, and south to Springfield, covering a total population area of over 400,000.
Formats include National Public Radio news, award winning local news and the most jazz and blues on the radio between Chicago and St. Louis. GLT is staffed by broadcast, development and management professionals.
GLT offers five webstreams: our main channel, an all blues channel, an all jazz channel, an all news channel and an all acoustic music channel. Our main channel, blues channel and news channel are also available as HD radio broadcasts in McLean County, Illinois.
GLT receives funding from several sources: 55% from listeners and businesses, 34% from state and federal grants, and 11% from Illinois State University.
