Summer Concert 2022

The WGLT Summer Concert presented by CEFCU will return to Downtown Bloomington on June 18, 2022, for our 20th annual celebration! After a two-year COVID-imposed hiatus, we’re thrilled to come back “home” to the Museum Square. The music begins at 5:30 p.m.

What you need to know

Please do:

Park in a free garage downtown.
Bring your own blankets and chairs. Arrive early for the best seating options (and shade)!
Bring a picnic. We encourage you to grab carry out from a downtown location and picnic on the museum lawn. Here are some nearby food options.
Bring cash for quick beer tent and merch transactions. One credit card line will be available at the WGLT tent.
Bring a reusable water bottle. We will have clean, free water available thanks to ISU Office of Sustainability and McLean County Museum of History.

Peoria-based Tambora, fronted by Cindy Youngren

Cindy Youngren, also known as Southside Cindy, has been signing blues and roots music since the age of 16. She’s known for her work in the Sliptones and Hoosier Daddy. Flamenco-band Tambora is Youngren’s latest musical project.

New Orleans folk rock diva Lilli Lewis

Lilli Lewis is a voice for the voiceless in Americana. Her third full album for Louisiana Red Hot Records is lauded by NPR, Rolling Stone, Offbeat Magazine and the New Orleans Times-Picayune. Trained as an opera singer and classical pianist, singer-songwriter Lewis has been a composer, producer and performing artist for over two decades. She has been known as the folk rock diva since performing in The Shiz, a band founded with her wife Liz Hogan.

Currently based in Philadelphia, by way of New Orleans and Virginia, Carsie Blanton writes anthems for a world worth saving. Inspired by artists including Nina Simone and Randy Newman, her songs encompass a wide range of genres, from sultry pop to punk-tinged Americana. Whether alone with her electric guitar or fronting her four-piece “handsome band,” Blanton delivers every song with an equal dose of moxie and mischief, bringing her audience together in joyful celebration of everything worth fighting for.

NPR music critic Ken Tucker on Blanton: “(She) is all for acknowledging our current problems, the various daunting fixes we're in, but she's also for shaking off despair, finding solutions and doing the hard work of finding hope.”
